A future without exclusion for young people, generating opportunities thanks to training
1326 young people will acces professional training courses

The development of recent years in Morocco has been concentrated in certain urban regions and has benefitted certain social groups. In particular, young people from the northern regions of the country are limited when accessing employment opportunities, increasing social and economic inequality.

The project fights school drop-out rates and the social exclusion of young people by promoting a model that has two main stages.

In the first stage, the participants take basic core subjects (French, Arabic, and mathematics), while also taking a professional initiation course where they receive their choice of vocational training.

In the second stage, they receive work orientation. At this stage, they train in their chosen profession and are accompanied as they look for employment.

During both stages, they receive social work support and receive classes on skills that will not only help them in their work but also in their lives. This training focuses on what we call life skills.

We believe that these young people should have the opportunity to find a job, to get out of the poverty they find themselves in, and support their families. This is possible through specific training and the boost in self-esteem that comes from it. As CODESPA we will work with local associations, establish partnerships with public and private entities in the field of training and labor insertion, to make this training a tool against poverty in Morocco.
